Legal Finance Professionals provides the following training course for the HoFA of an Alternative Business Structure regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC):

  • HoFA - Understanding the Role and Responsibilities

Please note: This course is accredited for CPD by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).

This course has been designed to meet the needs of anyone who is currently acting as the HoFA of an Alternative Business Structure regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) or is considering becoming a HoFA.

CLC HoFA Understanding the Role and Responsibilities

3 CPD Hours

The Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA) within an Alternative Business Structure (ABS) regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers has special responsibility for ensuring that clients' money is handled in accordance with the CLC Accounts Code and that any breaches of the CLC Accounts Code are documented and reported back to the CLC as necessary. This course has been developed to provide delegates who attend with a clear understanding of what is involved in the role of the HoFA, including how best to ensure compliance with the CLC Accounts Code within the organisation.

Accounting Records, Internal Controls and Bank Reconciliations

  • Maintaining compliant accounting records
  • Effective internal controls
  • Bank reconciliations - what to look out for
